its always the silly doodles that come out nicer than i think lmao
my friends Rook character from the new Dragon Age
now with a friend
it looks so relaxed, i love it
also awhile ago I set up this file for "scribbles" where I intended to do stylization tests and now it has just become my like online sketchbook in a sense where I just do things with no point and there are dozens of layers with one thing on it and it's quite nice just to have this place to dump things into where I am not like THIS IS A NEW PROJECT
just casually makes Gilia an Avvar, which could also be "if Gilia's ancestors decided not to be peaceful and now she's a battle mage" ig!!
also psst this is the base for iggys "portrait"
violentsound
tho lets see if I can channel that brightly coloured graphic style u gave me
tho it might end up in the middle somewhere of preraphelite doing an acid trip, who knows
these are all stunning but aaaaaaaaaa!
I decided to put a gradient wash over the thing to make it more interesting
this is very experimental
so we are seeing how this goes
here is the entire piece lmao
I am TRYING to make waves but water lmao HARD
because I am deep down dishonored trash part of me wants to give it one of Sokolov paintings names
Gosh the colorsss so lovely
we worked out a framing I liked at last ugh
rolling around titles in the mean time
wish me luck friends I must now paint
and see if I can work out a way to keep it in that doesnt feel weird
I feel like the hand posing make more sense when there was a sleeve
maybe if I paint in the rest of the arm around the waves it will feel more connected to the piece
we started here and we got worse from there lmao fuck I hate hands
and todays warm up
drawing people making out is way fucking harder than it should be is2g.
RUBS FACE ON ALL UR GILIAS
Many gilias 2 choose from
my old nemsis, fabric and clothes
gotta the simple things to get art brain waking
was following these tips as I worked
edge control is always so tricky for me beccause i am still baby artist who wants to render EVERYTHING
I finally got to watch this and it's just wild. I hope I get to experiment with it soon. I love painterly stuff, but it's not a strong suit, so I think this could be really fun to play with
I did some ball and square studies where I challenged myself to not reuse a brush for different areas and it was neat!!
How did you choose your brushes, or di you just pick randomly?
just fully make myself work with what I got, no take backs
I like that. And it seems like it would be way faster, which was my big concern
