Yeah, it'll update, since patches include things like bug fixes and general optimizations. I don't think you can play with an out of date launcher.

I just figured to check just in case. I will prob eventually soon get to paying for a sub considering I am over forty hours into this game already at this point but. Yeah.

no worries, but yes, patches are applied for everyone. There are, for example, job changes for healers that will affect free trial gameplay

It's at least downloaded for me I think now even if I can't play it to test it out since they're still figuring the maintenance.

That's fine. I can try boot it up after work tomorrow. I'm assuming by then everyone will have figured getting theirs downloaded and all and it hopefully won't be so busy because timezones.
