Okay. So Collins won't really be interested in helping to restore a ship he doesn't really like (especially with the Truth thing going on) but I think he could be convinced by some people that he respects/cares about to go out a few times.

Plus side it's just once a day so they can all do other stuff during the day.

If he's talked to your character more than once he might consider going out with them on a boat. He's typically not that secretive in canon though that's usually because he's revealing the truths and..it's usually to an employer or a target he's about to kill. Ahem. He's tight lipped otherwise to keep himself out of trouble. But! He's already in prison so!

Anyway, since I am trying to get him to do more "nice" things (or if we phrase it as "doing his duty" or "not being a failure" at things) this would be good for him to be reluctantly convinced to do. /deep breath. crosses fingers.

People that will have an easier time convincing him to go out are ofc Trevor, Aerith, Sheehan, Sweeney, and Astarion. Heh.

He also wouldn't care if John Doe and Arthur Lester "saw" any truths about him.

I've still got to come up with some truths that would be fun, but in the meantime his "default" truth to be revealed will be, like, seeing the Butcher covered from head to toe in blood. Think, every time he wiped off his bloody hands or knife or garrote onto his suit and it just stayed there permanently.

Maybe a few blood blooms in areas where he's been wounded himself, too.

Plus with that truth comes the knowledge of his kill count. Which is in the quadruple digits by this point in time.

Okay that one out of the way, I am also considering:
- revealing his scars and how he got them
- the music in his head

(People have obviously seen his scars before [public bathroom ew] but the fun part is how he got most of them.)

If there's anything specific you would like to learn though, lmk!
Or if you have a general thing you would like to hear an idea for, lmk that.

There's definitely room for, like, childhood trauma, wartime stories, or just a silly truth like how much he loves his little stoat companion or what his favorite desert is or something like that.

Anyway! Other than Truth stuff, there's the gathering of supplies and he'd be much more interested in that sort of thing. This isn't really the best port for gathering things (for him) but he would like to make an effort.

He will definitely be interested in trying to find alcohol, cigarettes (or the equivalent thereof since, uh, old fashioned place here... but pipe stuffing to smoke will be good enough for him!) and he'd want to help with whatever Sweeney wants to look for floofdoodle

He doesn't like magic or magic like things so this world is going to put him on edge at first.

But he does like myth stories (more specifically Irish legends/myths because he used to listen to an old timer tell them in his village back when he was a kid and he used to imagine himself as a great warrior! this is pure headcanon but I like it and I'm sticking with it). Which is why he was so fascinated by Sweeney/Lugh when he was turned into a kid!

Anyway, slowly getting him over this hangup, too. And he will eventually relax I think and try to find things he wants and maybe what some other people want if he can overhear them talking about stuff and secretly go find them for them.

Right. STUFF. I think I've ranted enough lol but here's the basic idea.

TL;DR: Collins will be focused on gathering supplies for the ship. He can be convinced to go out on the boats a few times and have some truths revealed. Lmk if you have anything you would like your character learn.

Hanna, who probably should be avoiding Collins, showing up and just asking him about his motivations and why he thought he was a good target.

I'm definitely down with them getting some shenanigans. If I/Sweeney can help his arc with revealing truths, we can do that. Though I'd be perfectly happy with a quest for booze and cigs that might let them talk about the mythology spin on it (you know they've gotta have some great wine)

I'll let you decide if you want a Truth out of Collins! Or to share a Truth from Sweeney to Collins. Both, technically, but whichever appeals to you as the focus.
