莉莉是照進石黑暗生命中的一道光，石將所有對美善的嚮往投射在莉莉身上，莉莉不只是那個他自幼相識的，很棒的人，更是一切美善的、值得追求的事物的象徵，這個象徵具體化為母鹿護法，所以我認為石的護法在莉莉過世很久後反而愈來愈清晰
石對莉莉的愛和歉疚，讓他開始贖罪，激發了他最高貴的一面、他的勇氣、他的良知

石內卜會說他所做的一切都是為了莉莉，他是極度自私的人。一開始確實是這樣，他只希望莉莉安全，根本不在乎其他人的死活。可是他最後做的超過這個太多了，如果只是為了不讓莉莉白白犧牲，他只要保護哈利的安全就好。就算對石指出這點他大概還是會繼續堅稱是為了莉莉。反正就是個傲嬌
