What the FUCK Shredder

This is INSANE

They met their great-great-great (x35) grandma
Karai
She did some badass fighting
They had to protect her from Shredder
Shredder went after her and Mikey caught him with his kusari-fundo so she could run and Shredder broke it
He broke the chains and then WENT AFTER MIKEY

But that gave Leo time to make a portal to get Karai somewhere safe
And he got her out, and just got to give her one hug before he had to run back out and fight
And not once did he make a quip or a pun or anything during that fight
Like this is the most serious we’ve ever seen Leo and it was scary
And then Shredder fucking SNAPPED HIS ODACHI IN HALF

And then GRABBED HIM BY THE HEAD and would’ve killed him if somebody hadn’t stepped in

And THEN
Raph FISTFOUGHT SHREDDER in his mystic form
And he did the best out of any of them, Shredder actually took a couple hits
But then he pinned him down and ripped his mystic form open
Right through his chest
He just dug his claws in and tore him in half, and then Shredder was on top of Raph
And he came this close to biting his whole head off but

oh my gosh...

Raph was able to block it
So for a second it’s just him on the ground and Shredder two inches away from his face with Raph’s tonfas in his mouth
Which Raph is still holding, by the way
His hands are in Shredder’s mouth trying to keep him away
And then Shredder bites the fucking tonfas in half

And then Karai comes in to save them
But she’s been in the Twilight Realm for 500 years so she’s weak and she can’t do anything
And Shredder FUCKING KILLS HER
And Raph has to get his brothers out
Like this fifteen year old child sees someone die in front of him for the first time and has to realize that it’s his responsibility to make sure no one else does,

so he doesn’t even get two seconds to grieve
He’s just gotta get the others and run
Leo even tries to go back for Karai and Raph has to drag him back
And THEN
Fucking THEN
Splinter and Draxum know there’s no time for everyone to escape
So they have to STAY BEHIND to buy the boys time
While April had to run off into the sewers by herself to make sure the

people of New York were safe (that’s a whole thing, everybody else is currently trapped in a little mystic ball)
So the boys had to get in the Turtle Tank and LEAVE
Splinter and Draxum have no weapons, by the way
They’re just gonna fistfight Shredder to the death
And the very last shot is Raph taking the tank out of the lair while Mikey’s screaming and

trying to go back for their d.d, and Leo and Donnie are holding him back so he doesn’t get hurt
It was INSANE

I’m actually losing my mind what the heck

Okay okay part 2 now
I’m scared

HOW CAN THEY JUST PLAY THE THEME SONG LIKE EVERYTHING IS FINE

STOP STOP STOP the boys (mostly Leo) are mad at Raph for leaving Splinter I’m gonna cry
This poor sweet boy just said that it’s his responsibility to figure out how to stop Shredder

I am 99.9% sure he’s faking it to get him and Splinter out but it’s making me anxious anyway

WAIT Karai’s not dead???

...oh no she is now XD

April just got adopted? I think? Karai was all like “you’ve always been one of us” and I can’t tell if she means biologically they are in fact family or if she just means, like... emotionally XD
Either way April’s got the Hamato power thing now

Oh shit oh no Raph’s having a lil breakdown oh buddy no it’s okay
Oh gosh he’s crying oh no

To RAPH
That is such good fucking character development
Raph has a fear of being alone
Like physically alone
One time he gets lost in the sewers without his brothers and he has a whole panic attack and all
But he also has a thing about taking on too much responsibility and making himself handle stuff

alone without letting anyone help
So Karai telling him that, specifically him, not all of them together or anything, is so fucking important
This is so well written I love this

“I do trust my family!”
“No, trust us the way we trust you.”
And then the flashback to the first time he unlocked his mystic power
When Leo was dropped off a roof and Raph leapt off with no hesitation to save him
Damn
That’s really powerful holy shit
Have I mentioned that I love Raph a lot?

oh this poor boy...

...I don’t like that he’s learning that he can trust his brothers to catch him when he’s up in a tree
I’m gonna unpause this and he’s gonna jump out of the tree and hope they catch him, isn’t he

He did, in fact, jump out of the fucking tree
But there was this super cute moment when they all jumped after him and he’s falling and just opens his eyes and smiles at them and you can tell he’s so proud of his brothers
And he just reaches out calmly and lets them catch him
That was so sweet
He’s still a moron for jumping out of the tree but that was sweet

SUPER big moment for Donnie though
Donnie’s NEVER had mystic abilities
Raph, Leo, and Mikey have, because they had their mystic weapons (the tonfas, odachi, and kusari-fundo Shredder destroyed)
But since the first episode, Donnie’s only ever had his tech
And he’s actually been really insecure about not being able to tap into or understand mystic abilities

the way his brothers do, because it made him feel like his tech was useless
And just a second ago he was struggling to understand when April was explaining because their ninpo comes from a completely emotional, non-tangible connection to their ancestors and their family
But the second Raph was in danger, he was able to do it without even thinking about it

I’m so proud of him XD

I’m SCREAMING they have upgraded designs too
It’s all subtle changes but there’s more black in the designs and all their markings are glowing
Like Leo’s stripes and Donnie’s little rectangle mark things and Mikey’s spots
And their mask tails are all long now
Leo and Raph already had long ones but not Donnie and Mikey do too

They just generally all look more similar and like one cohesive team rather than four separate people fighting together
And it’s epic

Okay they’re gonna go fight now so I think I’ll shut up and just watch it without interrupting to talk XD
I’ll come back and freak out about it when I’m done

THAT WAS EPIC
I kinda clawed my hands up because I was freaking out XD I didn’t realize I was doing it until after
But it’s fine because THAT WAS SO COOL
That was an amazing fight
I don’t even know where to start actually

Actually no I’m not gonna say anything y’all can just see for yourselves if you ever watch the show that was too cool to spoil XDD

Horrid ending though
Like it was really funny and it was obviously setting up the movie
But stupid
Bad
Splinter’s like “it would’ve surprise me if someday somebody made a movie about you” (he was an action star back in the day, so it’s in character but also announcing the movie) and then he goes “oh and Blue, you’re the leader now” and Leo’s like O_O WHAT

and then it ends
Which yeah
Sets up the movie
Because Leo’s character development in the movie is crazy and entirely centered around that and I’m so excited for it
But yeah fuck you Splinter
My boy didn’t need that
Leave him alone
Leave that child alone
Don’t make him be responsible
Raph JUST started unlearning that and Splinter’s like “guess it’s time to

traumatize another one 🥰” like WHAT
YES, it does end up being good for both of them

I considered shutting up with the spoilers once you got here but I was like “eh he knows what he’s getting into” so... oh well
I’ve known most of the events of the show going into it because I didn’t make any effort to avoid spoilers and I still quite enjoyed it so don’t worry about it too much XD
