I can see new voting process/security measures are anticipating Fraught and Contentious ballot-counting

(for excellent reason)

fill out ballot on machine, check it

print out a physical copy, check it

copy goes into the scanner/tabulator box, number goes up when it has been received

thus creating both electronic and physical records, and the physical ones are easy to rescan
