I hate peepaw Leo with all my heart and soul
With all the intense ferocity of whathisface hating green eggs and ham
Like why is he
Why is he so buff

Honestly the canon turtle design of old Leo looks worse
The man is forty and has the most intense wrinkles
And he doubled in size
Like if Leo doubled in size how big was future Raph???

Future Raph must’ve been a dinosaur
Little man’s already built like a tank and the hulk combined
And you’re telling me he wasn’t done growing?
That’s crazy

Now Old Mikey, of course, is ancient
He’s like 39-40
And he looks 302 because of the mystic BS
But at least he aged gracefully into a scrawny little chaotic wizard man
Leo just kept growing
At least Mikey stayed a little guy! He’s ancient but he’s still just a little fella! Very huggable and friend shaped! I’d genuinely be so scared of Old Leo XD

But anyway aren’t the human designs so cute?
They’re precious
I love seeing the different traits people choose to give them
Because everyone tends to agree that they’re Black-coded
But they do canonically have Japanese DNA
And also they’re turtles XD
So it’s really cool to me to see how people draw them

I’ve noticed that people generally go by the shades of green they canonically have, and give Mikey and Donnie darker skin
And Leo, for no particular reason that I can tell, is usually shown to take after their Japanese family the most
And of course he always has bleached blond hair XD because he actually does have hair twice in the show and it’s

always long and blond
Raph seems to be the one nobody really has any set agreements on
Most people draw him with lighter skin, probably because he’s a lighter shade of green, but beyond that, everybody kinda has their own interpretation of him
Unlike the others
Where Donnie almost always looks exactly the same XD everybody agreed on him, I guess
And Mikey

has different hair, but that’s usually the only greatly noticeable different for him
He just kinda gets his regular adorable round face and they do whatever they want with his hair and clothes
Leo, like I said, generally has more visibly Japanese traits and often has blond hair, but I have seen a lot of people draw him with darker skin and vitiligo in place

of the markings he has as a turtle

Anyway all this to say I find the human designs people come up with fascinating and I will definitely be drawing my own sometime

Oh my gosh I totally meant to comment on this yesterday and I forgot but the one person who gave Human Leo bleached hair with the two pieces framing his face dyed red to match the marks he has on his eyes as a turtle??? A+++++ character design right there I love it
