I was keeping an eye on her while roomie was running all-day errands, and at one point I had to go outside to take out the trash and bring in the mail, and told her I was going to be outside for a minute

and when I came back in I just popped around the corner and said: "Ok I'm back in the house, you can have emergencies again. I mean, don't do that, but you can."
And she thinks about it for a minute and says: "No, I don't think I will, but it's good to know I have permission."
