So. Today is my day off. I woke up to a text message from the store leader.

Apparently, she took a job and they gave her a start date of Monday. So she's not going to work out the rest of her notice.

Which...she didn't have to.

But it does leave about a week where schedules need to be redone.

I need to get out of here, but I still need to find that fucking passport.

So. For those who are new to my Plurk. I work for a...well known UK high street company known for carrying stationary, cards, and books. And often having the local Post Office on premesis.

Also known for closing a lot of their high street stores now in favor of concentrating on Travel.

We were supposed to close last February. Landlord wanted to double the rent. Company was like, "That would wipe out all of the profit the store makes." And decided to shut us...until about three weeks before the closure date, when they reversed that decision.

So, anyway. By the time they decided we weren't going to close, we'd lost our store leader, and one of the members of staff had already told her bosses at her second job that she could take more hours after the date of closure.

We were able to replace the regular staff member fairly easily, but it took...5 months? To get a new store leader in. And our cluster leader had a fucking meltdown and basically has made it impossible for her to do her job. CM is off work for the moment, but we've now lost our store leader and who knows how long it'll take to replace her?
