I only occasionally watch the MCU tv series but I really, really liked the different tone, it almost annoyed me when they had to talk about superhero shit on occasion lmao

but I finished the finale and !! I should've seen at least one of those plot twists coming but I wasn't thinking about it at all - granted I haven't read a lot of the comics Billy is in

but the twist made total sense

this show was overall an excellent way to intro Billy though, and I really like Agatha's whole complicated villain thing too

Billy's costume looked cool as hell in live action too, it has some of the Dr Strange magic accents without being super ostentatious and it came out really nice

also the other thing I'm excited for is - mutant hints??? they never say why Billy has telepathy, I only watched Wandavision the once but iirc they never outright said it there either

and ofc it's very possible Marvel might make them not be mutants in the MCU since they pulled that shit with Wanda and Pietro before, but now they have no reason not to do that

I saw people on reddit pretty much agreeing that Billy's boyfriend in this probably was just a normal dude and not Hulkling, and I agree - so it'll be fun to see how they intro Hulkling in the future

though I haven't watched any of the MCU stuff dealing with the kree or the skrull so I might end up being out of the loop when they do it

I should probably go back and watch Multiverse of Madness now that I think about it, I'll have to throw that on my watch list

tl;dr it was a good series, I think the MCU shows are really good when they do new things and this show was very different in general

also gonna add: I do like that Rio remained a toxic ex, turned out it was for VERY good reasons but hell it was fun to see some spicy wlw going on instead of it having to be sappy.... Billy was there to be the normal queer with an affectionate relationship haha

(though now I'm disappointed that Deadpool hasn't dated Death in the movies because that would be. a HELL of a way to do a crossover)
