Luz's situation is the most interesting I've done, and I played her since the end of season one!
That was in a different game, where she got a girlfriend from Euphoria, of all things (Lexi)! Here, though, is a whole new ball game.
Off the bat, Luz's hanging out with the Omori crew got her a girlfriend, who's in her own Polycule with Eren and Sunny, and that would be Aubrey.
The two of them wound up friends much as how she and Amity started (with someone hissing at Luz to stay away and Luz paying no attention) until, over time, Luz admitted that there was something there she hadn't counted on, right when Amity arrived.
That whole thing kind of exploded into Luz realizing that yes, she DID have a crush on Aubrey which manifested when Amity had not been there. She was going to tell Amity this and, well, the rest unfolded here was already mentioned.
Sufficed to say, Luz actually cares a great deal about Aubrey that she doesn't mind her boyfriends: she actually has her own sort of relationship with them because they both matter to her in different ways.
NOW recently, Luz obtained a boyfriend as well...Sunny's OTHER SO, Kenma Kozume!
This wound up happening when Luz was looking for an escape from her stress, and what better way is there for that than video games?
Luz came over, shared her snacks and generally had a good time with her reclusive friend! Over months, he also wound up being a big source of comfort for Luz.
Basically these two would cuddle and turn into cats and sleep together (as in sleep in the same occupied space). They grew closer and closer, and then one day they kissed and Luz realized it felt right.
Their own SO's know about this, of course. Luz is still adjusting to having two people she cares that much about (while still missing Amity) as well as dating a boy for the first time. Right now, she's happy though, so you won't really hear her complain.
I love this for her. It's been interesting to see how it's developed from like
"Oh we only really hangout when we're seeking comfort and chill" to "oh now we hangout a bit more actively outside of that, and we see each other's awkwardness/anxieties in public."
Very cute.
