Walter... Most of you know by now Walter comes from Season 2 of Misty Quigley's precious little life whereas TLV Misty came from Season 1, had not yet met him, and over time developed a healthy relationship with her canonmate

Walter tried not to let this bother him because what actually mattered was Misty "letting him in". And the grievous bodily harm (TO SOMEONE ELSE) was a means to that end. But well. She is in fact not doing that either, not in the unreasonable sense he hoped.

So he's finally kinda grieved those possibilities and started moving on. And on the one hand he is human. I mean in the sense of "he does feel lonely and tempted and emotional". On the other hand, he has a strong conviction that on the barge, romance is How They Getcha

He's also really not into hook-ups like at all... And obviously on the nonphysical side, Misty is still very important... So Walter at this point is pretty convinced that it would be difficult to come to an arrangement the other party considered reasonable

So he has been 💞 orbiting 💞

A valid theory, given the Barge's everything.

So there's a very important position on the barge called the monitor of Unpaired Inmates. Trevor had endeared himself to Walter by personally providing him with a magical weapon and training him. Trevor planned to take this position, having done it before, but then suddenly Charlie Dowd arrived and took it

There's two slots for Monitors, Xie Lian is currently the other one

Walter then got killed by the new arrival Eric (and by extension he was one of the Unpaired Inmates) which is tbh the single most traumatic thing that has ever happened to him. He got it into his head that if Trevor had been the monitor, that wouldn't have happened

He spoke with Xie Lian about this both one on one and in a post he made to gather testimonials about "wardens who were the most helpful when you first arrived"

which ended up in a lot of Trevor testimonials

Trevor didn't really like this understandably. So Walter gave up on this idea

Walter is now in much worse terms with Trevor for multiple additional unrelated reasons

objectively it was pretty nice but it was Barge 2 so some haters were annoyed. and then THAT happened. bizarrely enough, both the Cap'n and the Admiral claim that the wave was the Admiral's poor foresight in selecting a location.

Wasn't just the haters, either. Some Barge-positive people were also not thrilled by Slightly Bigger Boat.
