I REALLY like Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions, I might make a journal for Ron at one point I had considered picking up a video game version of Sherlock Holmes but Ron would be more approachable

basically: Holmes type but a loser, AND has a strange ability where he sort of. brainwashes murderers into killing themselves. so he was forbidden from sleuthing again on pain of death, oops

another contender is Edward 'Snape with the serial number filed off' Serfence from Wistoria (and it really is hilarious how Wistoria literally is just 'what if Harry Potter were a jock')

however for both of these characters I'm def going to have to read the manga, esp for Edward because a side character needs more than the single season that anime has

I'm only halfway through Wistoria's first season and it doesn't have a second one airing yet, Forbidden Deductions' second season is airing right now so those eps are weekly

ohhh the art in this manga is very nice actually

Totomaru is so cute too.... he assumes Ron is talking about having some sort of chronic illness and is like 'don't worry I'll support you if you help me!!'

(and no, so far in the anime Ron hasn't updated his fit, if he's not in disguise he dresses like he never intended to leave the house)

also his cat always looking like this is a running gag

yes this weirdo DID dress up like a wizard and proclaim that he's a hand expert for the case because he's a puppeteer

this show/manga really hits my sweet spot of 'the themes are serious but it's also completely stupid'
