not concerned enough to. yknow. pay their workers better wages
but concerned enough to make our supervisors, who frankly have little to no control over the things most of us find issue with, ask if there's anything they can do that would make the job experience better
luckily my supe is pretty damn chill and i have a good rapport with her, she was fully unwilling to play HR's game and just told me straight out what they were asking
so that she could record the answers i actually wanted to give instead of trying to guess from how i answered their poorly worded questions
my answer to "what could a different company offer you that would make you leave" was an instant "better pay" and she was like "yeah that was my answer too"
my other big complaint was client-side IT issues which. literally no one at our company can do anything about lmao
i've just used this as an opportunity to state on the record that all i fucking want from my job to make it better is higher wages and for it to stay remote
neither of which are decisions my supervisors get to make
for all their faults in providing adequate training for new hires, my team's leadership is very good at cushioning us from the bullshit corporate tries to do
we're technically a hybrid team but no one has enforced the return to office for years now
our team lead will straight up be like "i'm not supposed to show you guys this technically so don't tell anyone okay" and then let us see shit that's coming down the pipe later so we're forewarned lmao
anyway...... i'm gonna take (most) of a week off in november to do some job huntin and also just Chillin
these fuckers will not be wage thefting me in lost PTO over the year change again
I love how companies give out surveys, then proceed to ignore everything said, though.
i have no delusions that this will make any meaningful positive change for us lmao
We just had an "engagement survey" in my work. With our Cluster Manager absolutely on us to reply. And we really has nothing good to say.
Except for the people who haven't been here as long, because they have a different benchmark for the company.
Our hospital’s yearly engagement survey recently went out and while i said a couple nice things bc mine is in some ways less of a shitshow than other nearby hospitals i absolutely skewered them for the lack of staff safety&security and the complete failure of the behavioral contract system to keep problem behavior patients from being abusive to staff
Will it change anything?
but at least i said my piece
