I feel like Walter is so boring that he had to AU himself into the part of the Yellowjackets universe that is actually about the Yellowjackets specifically
Walter could definitely be in a Dostoevsky book
The way you write him, anyway
I mean legit Yellowjackets and Prodigal Son could be in the same universe.
it's so true. if we ever had that one event they'd literally just be like "oh yeah. I forgot about [THE PLANE CRASH / THE SURGEON]. it's been a long year ok"
And Alex I'm flattered haha. I really was scraping the bottom of the barrel for a death at his canon point as he will almost certainly receive important info even within just a few hours, but I'm glad the stroke/seizure brought him together with a character...
i.e. in his canon situation there isn't really time for Walter to get in the old standby of a car crash. Walter gets hit by an ambulance by Yoshikage Kira. Saracusa finds an excuse to shoot Walter. it could definitely be done
One of the more bizarre reasons that Walter genuinely believes Misty was bullied in TLV is that he literally imagines if Liza or Stavrogin were there and no one wondered whether they and Pyotr knew each other, or based on Walter's hints. it is that obvious to him but then there's other characters like Malcolm and Will to be more objective...
I love that he thinks Pyotr is a poor victim
he really does have a rose tinted view of him. like does he think Stavrogin actively manipulated Pyotr into whatever the crimes were, no. but Stavrogin was certainly being a douchebag
I mean Stavrogin was being a douchebag
I mean, given recent experience, he's definitely one of the random lunatics they encounter early on who's been effected by the KiY or maybe one of the cultists in the hotel who are trying to kill them ^_^
Walter in ancient Wuxia China.... Uhh.... He'll be the weirdo in the village at the foot of the mountain that is always super excited to hear stories about the fighting world.
In the MCU, he'd probably be some conspiracy theory type. Thanos was a government psyop, superheroes are proof we're in the Matrix, that sort of thing.
oh yeah Walter is 100% a cultist in Malev
