dad's finally arranging a celebration of life for Grandma

there was no rush on this, as she actually had her body donated to science like Grandpa did

but as a result there is no funeral home involved, and thus no obituary

we could have had one published of course, but dad said that costs $300 and tbh the family already knows so /shrug emoji

but yeah i went to my boss to get a form so i can take time off for the celebration of life, and we had a circular conversation about what i needed to prove i was going to a funeral to HR

and then i had to explain about donating your body to science, heh

...anyway the upshot is that dad just needs to give me an invitation so that's easy

apparently we're pushing it out a year, okay then

obviously i won't request time off for that now LOL
