10 first impression was from his network presence before they talked, and it was something like 'this guy does NOT get riled, he is definitely judging tho. potentially very professional'

current is 'yes very professional, can be trusted to help deal with kujen, a blessing and a gift to know anyone 500+ whose not up their own ass a huge amount. role model? please like me'

Xie Lian loves him deeply and is for 3 kind of like, yeah that one can be rough on my relationships in general. but he does try to show what he feels (including, i believe that you won't grow up to be a cringe immortal and that makes me happy for the future)

and like. he's pretty sure if NOT for Hakkai, he could definitely suss out XL's passive aggression. but there IS Hakkai. so he's motivated to be actual polite

10 for ZYL: annoyingly perceptive for someone emotionally compromised enough to be defensive of a mass murderer!!!!

XL's like, Hakkai loves you and you love him so even if I didn't like you for your own merits (which he does) i would inception myself into true feelings (he figures this is understandable)

now: yeah my dumb smart uncle is a wolf but nobody's perfect. has good convictions AND a respectable level of sneakiness. domestic survival skills of a 3 yo

Jedao unfortunately has a judgemental streak the size of a planet so while me MIGHT try to incept himself to love someone hakkai loves he would fail if he didn't at least respect them on their own merits

10. first impression of Gojyo - HOTTIE. TALL. MUSBLE. I WANT TO GRAB HIS HAIR AND PULL HIS FACE DOWN ONTO HAKKAI'S DICK. how much psyops do I need to put in to make this happen. hmmm maybe a lot. seems insecure

10 first impression of sebastian - his FIRST first impression would have been from Sebastian's ledger + network presence, and it summed up to "oh this dude is HILARIOUS" because Jedao speaks fluent PA upper class bitch

it's not his own first language but he's definitely marinated in it a bit

the first time they met/talked was when Sebastian was complimenting his Weird Art, and Jedao was actually pretty touched! and then Sebastian was so suprised when Jedao offered it to him

so then his impression was of a person with really interesting depths, who despite not caring about most people very much cares about certain things quite a lot, and who has never really received much care himself, either

current impression is similar, just that the broad strokes have a lot more detail filled in

cause like - the ink drawing that Sebastian singled out was not The Most Elegant Oil Painting that would be Appropriate for a Noble Estate

it wasn't a purely class or skill or expense related assessment!

Sebastian loved a piece that was raw and menacing and eerie and personal

and Jedao will always love him a little bit for seeing that raw strip of Jedao' heart and calling it exquisite, even as that says a lot about Sebastian's taste and the inner life he keeps under his sleek professional manner

2. least favorite: the way he acts like a wild animal with its leg caught in a bear trap when someone is nice to him or cares about him

Jedao's Weird Art lives in an envelope in a drawer in Sebastian's cabin, because he doesn't quite know what to do with it (displaying it wouldn't mesh with the Aesthetics of his cabin). He did show it to Hakkai once all "look what Jedao gave me".

Pfft, and he's gotten so much better at tolerating doting. I don't think Jedao would be aware, but the first time Hakkai had the audacity to help Sebastian when he wasn't feeling well, Sebastian physically hurt him.

Hakkai, who has experience with Sanzo: This seems normal
