...i'm just trying to find one that isn't aggressively Christian
they're very much meant to be for bibles lmao, but a bible is just a book
ah, I was picturing something different then
i settled on this one because i love that story
(I was thinking a purse designed to look like a book, not whtaever this actually is)
and all the 'leather' ones were faux leather
they have those too, in other stores I think
it's a thing to carry your books
behold, a purse that looks like a book:
shinotenshi22: basically picture a fabric bookcover (that your book's actual cover slips into, think like the paper ones used for textbooks at school) that zips closed and has a handle like a lunchbox/briefcase. book purse!
marketed mainly for Bible study so someone can protect and tote their Bible around and keep whatever bookmarks or post-it flags safe from falling out
it's honestly like a laptop case if the top and keyboard if the laptop were strapped into the bag so that you never really took it off, just unfolded it to use
I think the dnd market needs book purses for the DM guide and Players Handbook
I really wish they made book purses for other books. ie that weren't aggressively Christian. bc I used to love these things but never bought one bc... very Christian
i feel like i should add context to this, because the reason i went here is i ordered a book from them without realizing they were hardcore Christian
and they had it (it was a book of poetry)
well, technically, it was some kind of scholarly breakdown of the poet's works
at the time, not realizing it was a Christian store, i'm like 'this sounds perfect, maybe it will be a book that explains some of the old fashioned language and so forth'
but that was... a week before i originally made this plurk
i went back once more after this time, just to see
and they haven't called me since then
while i was in the city yesterday, i ordered a different book of this same guy's poems from Barnes&Noble and i already got the shipping notification
just. If you don't have the damn book, don't like to me to get me to spend money, like damn
but yeah literally every book in the store had something to do with the bible or God, so i imagine that if this book ever gets to me it will be some kind of deeply Christian look at his poems
and i mean in the time period everyone was Christian (who was white and had money, that is, and this guy was a Lord)
so it might not be bad, even
but i'm mostly salty it's been a fucking month and not a peep out of them
