I have a stupid question but have wondered for years. What's a dressing room specifically? How is it different from other things like a sandbox or meme?

shinotenshi22: The initial conceit was that it's essentially a dressing room for characters when they leave the stage. It can get a little meta if you feel like RPing that way. I know dwrp tends to prefer some structure so I included some community lore.

dressing rooms are basically sandboxes. no apps, play hat you want, no real plot

some are canon specific

But generally it's a free for all without apps or character caps

It serves a similar purpose to a sandbox, yes
