The plot moves so quickly

I think I'll answer the elephant question in the room: "Is this game Fantasy Persona?"

My answer: Storywise, no. Game mechanics: Yes, on a VERY surface level.

The Archetype building is way more complex than Persona building

And EVERYONE gets multiple, it's not just the protag who can have multiple

You still have calendars and Social Links-- Er, FOLLOWER Links

Instead of "traits" to build up for the protag, you build up "heroic virtues"

Akademeia is your Velvet Room and More is your Igor

That's about it really... I think there's other things going on that aren't just Persona. Game reviewers with P5 brainrot might convince you otherwise, but it's all nitpicky stuff really

Story wise, the tone leans more to Digital Devil Saga and feels pretty damn dark too

Persona has some lightheartedness in-between the dark elements mainly for the school settings and the cast banter. SMT is usually pretty fucked all the way through or gets more grim as the story continues

i enjoy how the start premise/plot is literally "we gotta fuckin stab this guy. we gotta kill him. cmon let's go commit a regicide"

They do such a good job setting the tone of the kingdom real fast with a public hanging

I think the racism is handled pretty well... What makes me better is that we have no idea why the Elda tribe is so hated, so the player and Meta-kun are both in the dark about everything

And it's not just the Elda tribe that's hated... Other races are looked down upon too, so it feels more 'real' so to speak

I went with 'Will' since it looks like that's the 'official' English/Japanese name

Would've also went with 'Rene'
