I'm thinking about dropping. I am not getting too much into the game, or getting lot of CR, and the events are mostly rather confusing for me, since they play a lot into the history of lab, which I don't know as a new player ..

and with sleepr gone, and the chance to get more CR easily, I am just here like: okay, no idea what to do

Hey there, you want to do some things with my Saelfen? I feel like I am struggling as well.

I've been in game almost a year now, and I also struggle with the "the logs expect you to be remembering events from before you joined." There's so much that's referenced without any context being linked along with it, or some continuity that you can't really step into because it seems to need a rapport built up to interact with properly

some kind of OOC "here's what happened" reference would be nice, maybe with notes on lore but like i get that's more work.

Once upon a time I asked for the context in the questions section and did receive a link to it when I asked, but after that I just gave up lmao I ain't reading two (or more) logs, I'll just do my own stuff

I have no idea what exactly is going on, not IC, but even if I did, my characters still would be oblivious, so they spent most of the events just asking questions to be up to date, and then it's already the next month and I haven't really done anything except asking questions, >

So I appreciate the offer, especially from Hantale and sailoruresui , but overall I feel like there should be an easier way for new players to become a part of this?

I get that. I think the timing is just very awkward, You came in right before a relatively major in-game event and the weight of it makes it hard to engage new players.

Yeah I think it was the timing balls! There is TDM to use, even though it’s open to enable more, we use it as well. Once upon a time there was TDM AAANNNND plot post. It was too much hence why they reuse TDM for 2 months and plot post is every other month

It just made it easier so we weren’t overwhelm with plots and stuff.

It does not help that you are not allowed to make ic notes to pass along to new players because they believe that this creates 'homework,' which frankly makes no sense... when the game especially is now, relaying on the lore you know in the game. me and other players have tried a few times to make ic note things to pass to other new players

and have gotten in trouble for it. lolol. that said i would hate to see you go, i know a lot of current members were sticking to aleady established CR for intense event stuff bc its a bit hard to with new CR but again a lot of us were very excited for Sleepr to make new CR with all of you and new characters.

but I DO HAVE BB who actually knows so much.... if you want me to ICLY have her tell your characters anything let me know. would love to have MORE people in the community engage with lore/plot. i am a lore fanatic myself oocly. and icly BB is big on needing to have control in things as the brat she is. i am happy to have her run any of your characters down
