and i figure some sort of halloween thing exists in his world so it should at least be sorta familiar for party

so she might see him as more trustworthy than some of these people

he generally has meat he can share, though, he goes hunting regularly and what doesnt go into a smoker/jerky maker gets stored in the hall's fridge or something like that. but he probably usually goes for small game so not as much to share
maybe brings back a deer every few weeks
