This song based on a real news in 2018. It’s about a man named Richard Russell stole a plane and soaring to the sky by himself. Before that, he never had an official training by any agency, only played some flight simulator games. But he completed a hardcore aerobatics miraculously and saw all the beautiful scenes from the sky.

He also wanted to see a Killer Whale called J35 but he didn’t get a chance to see it. (J35 had a baby but died within a half-hour of her birth. She mourned her baby and carried her body for seventeen days until it started to corrupt.)

Judging by the conversation between Richard and an air traffic controller we could know he actually was a tender guy and never wanted to hurt anyone. And he finally understood he was a broken guy who got his screws loose until everything happened.

I started to love Aurora because I saw a video of her singing live on the stage and her clean voice and fiery body language shocked me directly. Especially her hands dancing. The choice between paper books and e-books has troubled me for a long time. I tried both for a while but I still hardly make my decision when I want to buy a new book.

I have a 6-inch e-reader and it’s very light. I could hold it in one hand and turn the page comfortably, fix it on the tablet-stand beside my bed, or put it in my bag easily and read books on the go.

And if I want to read books before I go to sleep, it won’t hurt my sleep too because the e-reader doesn't have blue light. The best benefit of e-books to me is that I could change the word's size to my favorite size.

But even though it has so many excellences, paper books still charmed me the most. The touch of material, the sound when I’m turning the page, and the convenience of writing notes. All those great feelings of paper books made me can't give it up.

But paper will be moldy and difficult to preserve where the weather is as damp as Taipei. And the space is limited. So I have to transform some paper books to e-books or else my room will burst.

I saw a person introduce a book called "East of Eden" last friday night. I’m very interested in it so I searched on the internet immediately to see if I could buy it from Taiwan’s online book store. But I just couldn't find it. Therefore I bought it from Amazon JP and also picked up Grapes of Wrath.

I thought it might need to take about one or two weeks to deliver the books. Especially, typhoons come to us so frequently. But it turns out, the books are already in my hands now. I'm so surprised that the books delivered as swift as howling winds. Only spent under four days. And the books are really so beautiful.

Thanks to everyone who worked so hard at their job.

Today is totally the worst day of late. I’ve been clearing my room all morning. A band of ant armies plunged into my cat’s food bowl. If hell really exists, I was in hell at that moment.

I called out for my sister loudly at once but no answer came to me. No one at home but me and my cat. In an emergency of armies raided my pet foods I must move as quickly as I could. I pour the food out on some paper napkins and immediately the armies are like a fountain squirting out around the bowl, floor and napkins everywhere.

I ball the napkins and toss it into the trash can, take the bowl to the bathroom and wash it until clean, and use the tape to crush all the ants who are in my sight. Then I move all the heavy furniture to the other side, sweep and mop the floor.

By now I'm exhausted. I thought the typhoon and continuous rain caused that situation. Hope that will never happen again.

Since I already got used to writing something in English. It’s time to move to the next stage. Some grammar issues start to bother me but I overlook it for a time. Because learning grammar is too tedious so I couldn’t focus on it. My grammar note already covered a crust of dust.

Yet last night an idea just hit me. I should make a new grammar note with all the sentences that I love instead of the old one. I have a small love for the sentences that come from textbooks. That might be the real reason why I don’t want to open my grammar note again.

If I fill my grammar note up with all my love, then I’ll read it and use it more frequently. I could even imagine that scene.

I still don’t want to care about grammar mistakes too much when I write my diary or when I express my feelings and opinions. But I’ll try to consolidate my grammar knowledge more securely. I just realized they are not the opposite, I could do them both at same time. Never mind mistakes but keep learning.

I also want to try the Feynman technique(費曼學習法) for learning grammar. I haven't figured out how to do it. It might cost me a year or more to do those things but I’ll try to find my ways.

In the TV shows these fantasy monsters have been called the White Walkers, but in the novels they have been called the Others.

So, when someone babbles something that irritates you so much. You could say the Others take your (___).

For example, when your boss sends messages to urge you to hurry in the project on your holiday.
“The Others take your project.”
When you’re so busy and focus on your job, but your superior still keeps grumbling that if you don’t do your work perfectly your boss will bristle with anger.
“Oh! The Others take your boss.”

No bad words but full of power. This is how the people curse at things they hate in Westeros.

The conversation at 02:18 is a serious topic. But the reason why they called the two pigs Benson and Hedges made me laugh loudly. Benson & Hedges is a British brand of cigarettes, and her husband wants to smoke the pigs, so.

I thought that maybe Cate Blanchett failed to turn her kids into vegetarians, but she definitely turned the pigs into savory smoked sausages successfully. And when she said that her kids asked for the ketchup also made me laugh.

Yesterday, we talked about the Lord of Rings. Then my sister happened to bring this mini poster back from Japan. I’m going to see this movie because I love this animation style and I don’t know the whole history of Middle-earth. So I’m excited to learn what happened before the war of the rings two hundred years ago.

Wicked, Mufasa, The War of the Rohirrim. It’s a busy time for movies at the end of year.

By the way, Sean Bean who played Boromir in the Lord of Rings was also played Eddard Stark in the Game of Thrones. He had been chosen to play Eddard Stark because his vivid acting in the Lord of Rings moved George R. R. Martin a lot. If you love Sean Bean you must watch the TV series.

I always go to see movies with my sister and I have a little weird hobby. I’ll buy theater’s foods like popcorn, churros and large Lemon black tea without ice which is my favorite set. When I nip the churros and the air scent with cinnamon, it makes me feel that I’m really in the theater.

But I don’t want to distract myself by eating food as I see the movies. The crunch sound echoing in my head is so noisy. (I only hate the sound when I’m eating, other people’s sounds never bother me.) So I eat them up before movies start and I can focus on movies.

And mention about churros. I love churros so much and sometimes I’ll want to eat them even when I don't have movies to see. But churros that the theater sells are really expensive. So I’ll make them by myself at home.

Mine churros are curly and ugly, I can't make them look so straight and perfect. But add enough sugar and cinnamon powder, they will taste almost the same. After all, the recipe is from Gordon Ramsay.

I always tear books apart. It helps me to open books flatly and make marks on them more easily. But the covers that I’ve torn away from the books became a problem. I can’t just throw it out, because they are so beautiful. So I keep thinking how to deal with them.

At first I exhibit them all on the wall, but after a while I start to feel it is too much. I don’t want my wall to have too many things. Therefore, I did this frame to display only one book’s cover that I'm reading now. And I left a slit on the topside thus I could change it very easily.

It just hangs opposite my bed. So I could remind myself to read English novels everyday when I wake up. Other covers I put them away in an iron cookie box.
I also made the new covers for the books and tore the book box to be flat. I know I wasted my time on it, but I just like to do some meaningless things. So that is fine.

My poor, meager life has started to run out of topics, so this week I’m going to try to translate some classic lines or make some sentences from “Empresses in the Palace” or other TV series.

My aim is practice to say something in English and use the words I’ve learned from novels. So if I encounter some words that I don’t know how to translate, I’ll just change the ways to express it or describe the scene vaguely.

Two days ago, I finished my English lesson and I was on my way back home. I saw an old man asked about a small bag in front of QB HOUSE then he walked away. It was a gift for guests. I thought that bag was perfect for the tumbler which I just held in my hand.

And I also wanted to have my hair cut for a long time. So why not just do it now? I only had my hair trimmed a little. But now an idea suddenly struck me. I want to shave my head. I always want to but I don’t have the courage to do it.

But If I have a good reason, that might happen. It could be that before my English speaking skill improves to a level that I am content, I keep bald. Isn’t that a good reason? Might do it in 2025.
