What's the most embarrassing thing that happened to your Foxtopus?
For Wei, from a perspective of living a long life, the most embarrassing thing is typically something that happened recently and mortifying enough to be memorable. One such instance occurred with a deadline that she had to meet for the journal she currently works for as an editor.
Several other editors and staff members fell to the contagion after a conference and there was no time to find enough helpers, so she decided to attempt finishing the remaining work on her own.
The result of Wei’s effort had been her partner finding her cooped up in the study, having pulled a few all-nighters and generated an alarming amount of fur in the stress - a giant ball of shedding which he showed her after helping to clean up.
Wei is typically extremely well-kept and conscious of her appearance/living space, so it had been... really, really discomfiting. Though aside from the embarrassment, she did also gain a better understanding of the comfort of a moment of vulnerability in front of a loved one -
- as well as how much she cared about the work she got to do and the humans she became involved with because of her current position in life. For as a great woman who came before said, "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood." Now is indeed time to understand more of the Phantasmal Seas.
