i don't know where to begin. at least from aelwyn's perspective. i might let amy take a bit of a backseat but this is also a fascinating event from her perspective since she is also someone who runs off 90% fear and 10% burnout
i want to comment here just to see what you come up with bc iirc aelwyn feeds off fear now and this is v interesting to me
yes I am also very interested to see what you come up with
more than just feeding off fear, aelwyn is also sort of an apocalyptic time bomb in and of herself, since wherever she goes the entities theoretically will eventually grow and form. i'll have to ask some questions of the mods about how that would interact here...
so the answer i got back was that the fear demon will either fully avoid aelwyn or attach itself to her, which means she's either especially resistant to it's influence or she gets a month where she gets to be a full villain under it's control
i thiiiink i'll lean into the latter because it's a good chance to reveal some of the darker undercurrents in her current state without completely tipping her hand. there's plausible deniability, there was a demon possessing her, etc.
i'm going to see if it's possible for her to go along with it willingly with a very aelwyn scheme about betraying it and attempting to steal it's power somehow
meanwhile i'm going to give amy a break from being turned into a puppet. she's been through enough
i've settled on it. aelwyn will be one of the monsters of the week this month
welcome to the club, aelwyn
depending on the mod's response, she may turn on you right at the end georgug
that's ok. make him worse and then turn on him
slaps aelwyn. this bad girl can fit so many eldritch horrors into her
custody battle in the eldritch courtroom
custody battle very literally
cherto: how would you feel about aelwyn playing along like she's on vanessa's side the whole time (in order to feed off of people's terror and learn more about im'mari, and she'll very visibly look like she's infected) before betraying her and the other infected at the last minute using Horrid Evil Magicks
that's kind of the direction i was thinking of
I am fine with betrayal. So far the only infected actively defending Vanessa at the cottage is Gorgug. And others who will go after her, or observing. There is a plotting thread for all of that if you want to toss up your ideas for her there
great aelwyn would love to betray gorgug he wouldn't tell her the date one time
clearly deserves the ultimate punishment
She'd probably be good in helping keep some of the more OP characters from getting to Vanessa too quickly, too, if the goal is to have her learn as much as possible before betrayal
Today was exhausting but I can dig more into the plotting comments tomorrow
yeah exactly. aelwyn will try to keep it as close to the edge as possible before going for the kill. she's great at providing protection from outside forces, creating obstacles/minions for other people to fight and she can give vanessa a protective ward over herself that would protect her from all but the most extreme forms of damage
she's a boss fight so she'll do boss fight things
and then at the end she'll try to incapacitate gorgug and kill vanessa
we want it on the record that gorgug doesn't know he wouldn't tell aelwyn the date that one time
but if he knew it was her he would do it again
i think we should see how long they can go without that coming out
easy for gorgug because he's forgotten about it
"he's texting and seeing her username again" he don't remember that
she never forgets (except that one time)
queen stuff. make him suffer for it
