mine's a comic in what looking back was probably a bootleg collection of Chinese Doraemon comics (with a few other comics by the same artist) about a vampire hunter

it starts in media res with him returning to his hometown with plenty of his allies already lost to the vampires

his parents and dog and girlfriend have all been vampirized

he tries to fight his girlfriend but can't bring himself to kill her and gets bitten

cut to a vampire doctor telling his vampire parents that their vampire son has finally recovered from being turned and can be discharged now

the guy goes "wow being a vampire is so cool I can't believe I fought it so hard" as he and his girlfriend join all their other friends outside to hang out at night
