like. it's quite common for character studies or for canon divergence to do that kind of thing and I've read plenty of fic that does it. but I personally have neuroses around feeling like I'm repeating things so I just NORMALLY WRITE FULL SETTING CHANGE AUS
now that I am actually doing it. it's kind of fun. and also giving me a way deeper appreciation for the scene? since I obviously have it open and am reading it and considering how to alter it for the au
I passed over this scene when actually reading the series before and didn't think that hard about it and now that I am thinking about it and reading into it it is fucking killing me. jesus christ. why was this intro sequence doing deep cuts like this already
I added elaboration to try and explain context like once or twice for Reim memories because every time he's in a scene there's a bunch of fucking exposition in the way. that's it
I have reached the point where I need to change the scene significantly both because the au drastically changes the conversation at one point but also because I want this scene to be WAY shorter on the whole for the flow of the fic overall and now I am struggling.
