but all of his powers were transferred through Lucifel.

maybe he's got a few paladin levels idk, but it's all charisma (that is, force of personality) based still

....he even does that warlock thing where he adopts traits of his patron's nature
I guess it was easy to go "oh obvious martial style, very tanky, paladin"
