Chloe would pinch his cheeks if she didn't think he could kill her for real
damian is their little itty bitty baby bird
jason feels like he can relate to damian a lot more than he can.. most people, in a weird way. like they're both fucked in ways that dick and tim can't quite relate to, their ideals aren't all that dissimilar, even if they both semi-follow bruce's lead.
he thinks of damian as his baby brother, and respects him a lot. damian's overcome a lot of bullshit, he's proven himself several times over. and jason kind of hates that damian feels like he has to prove himself. but he's also stupidly jealous that, as far as jason can see, damian gets away with a lot more shit than he's ever been able to.
so he loves his tiny murderous baby brother, he's stupidly jealous over him, but also he'd die for him in an instant.
riz still stands by aelwyn being extremely intimidating and scary (and he's right)
though it has progressed to feeling a lot of sympathy for her and the shitshow of her life and some begrudging commiseration on the kalina front, but he has a feeling she prefers being seen as scary to any of that HAHAH
crowbars: yeah..... damian's feelings regarding jason are similarly complicated because damian feels like he's constantly compared to jason in particular. it's funny because there's a scene in i think batman incorporated where damian is shocked and baffled that bruce is allowing jason into the fold after he's spent so long intentionally pissing away bruce's
legacy, and that's not something that has ever really left his mind even if jason is his brother (don't tell anyone but he does love him :/) and jason is also one of the few people who actually understands what it's like to not fit the mold of this squeaky clean morality that bruce espouses. neither of them respect kant :|.
there's also a little aspect where the last time they interacted in canon from damian's perspective, jason directly blamed damian for alfred's death to his face.
jason is easier for him to be around than a lot of the others just because jason doesn't judge him but they're both dickheads unfortunately
(the fact that he would also die for jason goes without saying)
wisdombitch: not only is he right, she literally substitutes her need to eat drink and sleep for a need to be feared so thanks riz.
aelwyn would like to think she doesn't need sympathy or even acknowledgement that her life sucks but also she's spent her entire life pretending that it doesn't and that she doesn't have feelings so it's a bit shallow
she can get both of her needs from riz.
hot blonde girl inherently scary. life and trauma inherently sad. that sucks, buddy. don't kill me.
she thinks riz is probably the most personally interesting bad kid of the bunch just on account of. this is kalina's favourite. which is simultaneously a source of three feelings.
that's rough buddy
why not me?
why you in particular?
i love damian and jason and their complex dynamic
wants to put her in the pear wiggler (deep loathing) (weirdly affectionate) (they are together in pear wiggler hell)
HAHAH GOD I love the kalina of it all hanging over their heads, I wish we got to see a single canon interaction
but it also tracks. just two harsh teens or recently teened in a wild wild world.
it's complicated for aelwyn in particular because like. she's terrified of kalina, she resents the fuck out of kalina for using her and manipulating her into doing these terrible things. but.
and this is headcanon territory but we're not going to get npc details bc brennan hates me in particular and thinks they're not important
kalina was also a maternal presence in her life at a point where she was entirely alone? kalina acknowledges that her life fucking suck in a way that nobody else has the capacity to observe and sympathise with her? it's all to manipulate her but she's so unbelievably lonely that she takes it for a time
moonlanding: would you say that she's coming down with her? hand in unlovable hand?
no yeah that makes total sense to me!!! like we know she was working for them and her motivations are way more complex than just "idk I feel like it' at the end of the day
and kalina is VERY persuasive. if riz didn't have the bad kids, him just being flat out an agent for kalina is incredibly plausible. he gets it!!!!
aelwyn wishes people were more open to the "idk i feel like it" motive because that's so much less pathetic than "an evil cat demon was nice to me and i was scared
"
