The staircase goes "down" into the room was my idea for, like, Walter to have been stuck in the room for a little while by himself first, and then the staircase goes "down" because if entering the staircase Arthur went "up", the room going over the edge and filling up with water would just flow down that staircase

It’s pretty common knowledge that he gave away his first two deals to his inmates because there wasn’t anything he wanted and he felt that was the best use of them, but I don’t think many know he has not offered that to his third inmate or why.
