I could fill the grid but these are the tippy top tier
I played it when I wassss 12 so it was and remains Deeply Formative
whatever the fuck Midna and Zelda had going on, powerful homoeroticism, I loved it
oh they were Into Each Other
honorable mention to Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, and Link Between Worlds for Zelda games
Majora's Mask was my JAM too
Such an amazing followup to OoT truly
botw is here and totk isn't in large part because totk is such a safe, straight over the plate sequel when loz has already proven that it... does not need to do that
botw is also brilliant in a way that it got a couple million people to play what is actually a pretty challenging action game who otherwise would be hesitant to try something like it
grins about Outer Wilds already being on here but also, handshake for Melee
(so many Soulsborne...)
oh yeah Outer Wilds would be here even before this recent stint of trying to actually finish it lmao
I played comp in high school lmao
in the 12 hours since posting this I've also thought of Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team, and to put one mainline pokemon game on there, it'd probably be Emerald.
THIS TRACKS FOR MY IMPRESSION OF YOU... I was wondering, haha
I had friends who played competitively in college but I never did myself, I just played with them for fun
eeeevery once in a while I managed to jankily get a win on them somehow
Does she... You know... seem like she played Melee in high school?
but that's why I think it's such a brilliant competitive game, you don't need to know how to like. consistently wavedash. to get wins off on people. organic fundamentals can carry you until you get to the Top top level.
I COULD NOT WAVEDASH BASICALLY AT ALL (I knew how to but my fingers weren't coordinated enough) but I was pretty good at predicting times to counter with Marth
my only advantage ;v;;
