first ep, Alison being pissy about being made to go to therapy. Me: ... if there's even a therapist who can handle all of this
after s1 'I heard a rumor': .. yeah therapy sounds like a great idea. For each and every one of you.
not me softly wondering if their timeline even has therapists... and how muh they'd need to be paid...
I mean Alison WAS prescribed therapy in order to see her daughter
oooh, you right! gah, forgot about that. need to go do my rewatch soon
(between rp and somewhat poking at the wiki I'm a little spoilered about stuff but not details so discovering stuff is interesting.)
also Alison did so well in that episode, with V. Like, she could have hidden what she did. She could have lied. She could have abandoned her. But she did none of those things. She did all that she could and yeah, what she got for it was getting really close to joining Ben but
it's just that V is very very out of it and... yeah.
I'm so glad you're watching! I have mixed feelings about all of it on the whole, but I do love all the characters so much
I rather noticed that you do
... yup. lots and lots of therapy for everyone, including the robot and the chimp
also mixed feelings, but i love the characters no matter what. and i love seeing people watch it for the first time.
no matter how mixed, i still love it so. but also, yes, everyone go get help. plz
I think Ben's little 'I've missed you all, so much' is one of the most heartbreaking moments this far
also, my crackpot theory as of after that ep: Sissy is a soviet spy
oh tua… you’ll always be famous for s1
man. last night was the 1963 family gathering and. the 'try seconds' advice Reginald gave Five and.
man
I think he was genuinely trying to help all the time
but... he dislikes children. he doesn't even remotely understand children. he barely tolerates people who don't think as fast as he does
and because he doesn't understand children. in his attempt to teach them how to control their powers, he broke each of them. and then they started disappointing him, and he broke them again and again
so it got into a vicious circle that there was nobody to show him how to break
the 'try seconds' thing hit me because Five , in his upset and impatience, totally missed the point
he needs to learn control, and fine control at that.
but he focused on, seconds don't matter
it just goes around and around
five: concocts a plan involving dangerous meeting of his aged self to get his briefcase
Me: ... my dude. You jumped without the briefcase. Couldn't you wait for the jump and just... take the briefcase after...?
(I swear, sometimes none of them think beyond 13 yo. Including him.)
lol no you're right, it doesn't make sense, we wave it away by saying 'well paradox psychosis was clouding his judgment' because why
five is the smartest in the context of his other siblings but also
in all fairness klaus and ben actually don't do too badly on the intelligence department, they just refuse to shut down emotions
at least this far. The ways in which Klaus has surprised me with smarts are ever amusing.
oh ben... the things you could have helped with if anyone else could talk to you
Klaus is the embodiment of every 'street smarts!' meme
Ben is precious and I'm loving it and I know next season will be More Complicated but . I love him this far.
And lmao Klaus yes. And sometimes book smarts. And some conclusion he's drawn SO FAST nad very much tried to run interference in his way... I love it.
(Luther and Diego are a little hopeless though)
as of s3ep1, I feel like the sparrows' biggest sin/mistake was ignoring/letting Grace break
