They've said from the beginning that they intended the series to only be 7 seasons, and it was such a BIG FAT DEAL when Netflix greenlit all seven after season two or three

Netflix is usually pretty good about judging what's succeeding and what isn't, and I'm glad they worked with the Dragon Prince

but yeah if there's going to be more after 7 is up in the air, 7 for sure is going to be the end of this storyline
