I did that when I was stuck plotting a story, just as an experiment. The plot outline it spat out was so bad it angered me into coming up with a better plot.

Yeah, I would never use AI to write an actual story. For outlining/plotting, I could see its use as an assistive device for writers with some form of brain difficulties.
