the set up for the story is that wise and belle have a distant thiren ancestor and wise unexpectedly manifested the thiren genetic trait of being an omega but nobody realizes it because it's so rare in humans

lycaon realizes it after he is hired to be their attendant and wise describes his 'recurring illness' to him

wise goes into heat, lycaon has to take care of him and feed him nourishing broth while belle gets some sleep because she was up late looking after her brother, and things ahem ahem ahem he provides some very needed assistance

they both fell asleep and now belle has woken up and come to check on her brother because... that is what she would do when she realizes she was sleeping
