Eddie: 4, 6, 11, 18, 21, 26, 29, 40, 51 (had to be done), 69
Angel:
4. What’s your character’s coffee order?
A macchiato or whatever cute and trendy drink is available such as a PSL
6. What lies are told about your character? Do they believe any of them?
That he is incapable of change. Val is a master of gaslighting and manipulation, and has taken over as Angel’s inner voice of self doubt. He is full convinced that addict trash doesn’t change.
10. How does your character handle rejection?
Oh, so- so badly. This is why he pushes people away and puts on his persona, making any eventual rejection in his control, and not a reflection of his true self. (see: all of ep 4/his freakout at Husk) His reaction will depend on whether the rejection was direct or indirect.
When Charlie was praising Sir Pentious and Angel felt rejected he withdrew, bitter and separating himself from the group. Husk’s more direct reject eventually resulted in a hysterical breakdown-
Angel touting his ‘worth’ as he sees it (his body), and how many people would kill to be in Husk’s shoes. He then fully self destructs and runs off in the hopes of forgetting and getting himself broken enough to be free.
16. What is your character’s most vivid memory?
The day Val gave him Fat Nuggets. They had had a huge fight, and Val had hurt him bad enough that he had locked himself in the bathroom. He remembers Val leaving for a time, and then coaxing through the door, claiming he had a present.
Angel didn’t respond until he heard Fat Nuggets squeal, and it was enough to get him to peek out. He saw this innocent little thing and instantly fell in love, ready to lay down his life for that pig, and Val was sweet and soft in that moment, nothing like before. Angel forgave him and that pig gave Angel a reason to live.
Eddie: 4. What’s your character’s coffee order?
2 milk 2 sugar (double double- does that exist outside of Canada?)
6. What lies are told about your character? Do they believe any of them?
That he is a murderer- that would be the big one he faced most recently.
But there’s all sorts of rumors about ‘The Freak’.
He’s a Satanist. He’s a cult leader. He’s a gasp homosexual/sexual deviant. He’s a Munson. A Mini Al Munson. And he’ll never amount to anything more. He’s destined to follow that same path and bounce from prison to prison, so why even try. That last one gets to him. He really wants to be better, but he’s afraid he’s not meant for more.
11. What’s the first thing you decided about your character? What’s something you still haven’t decided about them?
It was either that he could play music by ear (but that he knew how to read/write music), or that his mother had died when he was young-but that wasn’t what led him to live with Wayne.
I still haven’t decided what his mother died of, and the book doesn’t say.
18. What’s the line between right and wrong for your character? How moral do they consider themself?
Try not to hurt people who don’t deserve it. If you’re fucked then the rules bend, you do what you have to. He’ll steal if he has to, for his father or to save himself/his friends, but he doesn’t like to use those skills when he doesn’t have to.
He deals drugs, but he isn’t looking to hurt anyone. In the book when a cop who has been giving him shit the whole novel is shot, Eddie stays with him until help comes rather than run. Eddie doesn’t see himself as particularly moral. He focuses on the bad. On the running.
21. Are your character’s hands warm, or cold? Does it bother them? Do they ever make them someone else’s problem?
They are cold. He likely makes them Steve’s problem. Gotta get warm somehow~
26. What does your character overthink about?
Music. DnD. Everything with Chrissy.
29. Who would your character give anything to be reunited with?
Right now- Wayne. Knowing that he dies and that he didn’t get to say goodbye, he hates that he’s put Wayne through that after everything he’s done for him. (But also Dustin, he misses his son ☹ )
40. What kind of weather does your character prefer? What kind of weather do they hate?
Cloudy and cool weather is the best. Rain sounds nice in the trailer, but is annoying to drive in and it gets his picnic table all wet, can’t make sales in the rain.
51. If your character is a dnd character, why or how did they choose their class and subclass? If they aren’t, what would they choose if they were?
Bard, obviously, possibly multiclass Rogue. Subclass College of Eloquence to go with his DM and story telling skills.
69. What is your character’s idea of comfort food? What about comfort media, or their go-to de-stress situation/company?
Dad’s spaghetti. Cereal straight from the box. His comfort media is primarily music, playing, listening, or writing.
