I don't have a good feeling about Wuk Lamat from 6.58... she gives me Lyse vibes... that overly cheerful, I'm-determined-to-win-for-a-good-cause-but-I-don't-know-how-so-you-have-to-help-me type...... She's cute but yeah nah...
I do like the translation of Third Promise rather than 王女 because if they're gonna boast an equal opportunity between genders it sounds rather fitting, and just exotic enough to fit the setting
Why the F would people find Bakool Ja Ja sexy???
Holy shit OMG, I see him for the first time in the cutscenes and start questioning the sanity of all those who sees him as a sex symbol... I mean, WTF man
Tuliyollal is too big for a place with no mounts....
Wait, maybe it's not Bakool Ja Ja that people have been lusting after, but the other one...? Makes more sense but still kinda weird
Wuk Lamat the underdog who promotes the most difficult political stance of peace without any actual directions... two successors who would cause war and unequality, two who would promote innovation and peace, it's kinda easy to see where this is going
Got the first keystone last night, I like the storyline of the Ok'Hanu, not too heavy to start with but gives background to the land and people
Really like how they've shifted the spotlight away from the WoL, seeing him as a guest and not The Savior of The World, it's nice to be a bystander. Wuk Lamat is earning points for being very proactive and not reliant on the WoL, though I still think they went a little overboard with the naivety
I wanna see the Hanu Hanu and the Vanu Vanu meet... they're such joyful people
One thing to complain, the map is so big yet the gathering points seems so far apart. Gone are the days when I can just run around in small circles from point to point and get a bunch of mats. Now I have to get on a mount
Gimme more Ceiba logs!
Going through the Pelu quests now, alpacas are soooo cute squeeeeeee. So far enjoying the characters and the quests, it really feels like 2.0 back again, and Lamatiy is quite a refreshing character
I like the fact they made Pelu people support each of the contestants with valid reasons of their own but no-one mentioned Bakool Ja Ja
fitting because he doesn't really have a political stance or view as far as we can see right now for any of the Pelu to support him
btw got MIN and BTN to 91 between finding aether currents, 爽啦
He's so beautiful OMG
Can we get windows/scenes like this in housing please please please?
Bloody Thancred
Got Ginseng logs yesterday from the new map, am happy. Apart from that, Bakool Ja Ja is currently a certified beyotch which I think most will agree. Classic villian style
Got called in to fight Gulool Ja Ja, found out a hint about Koana's past with nomadic people (maybe?) progressing slowly through quests and fleshing out new characters, really brings back the 2.0 feeling
進度有點慢,開始思考是不是該改改老想順路開風脈跟採集的習慣,但是好難控制自己的手...而且最近工作上忙到回家就沒腦漿了一看長對話就容易瞌睡,還會夢中自己接劇情
Oh Bakool Ja Ja you bitch! Didn't expect them to release that vidraal whatjimacallit, I mean, wouldn't that be a crime that would nullify his status as claimant to the throne?
Currently with Erenville in the Wild Wild West (x
I liked some of the twists in the first half, but I have to say it feels a bit too orthodox in hindsight, the "bad guy" repents after one loss and gets forgiven without much thought just because he had a tragic tradition behind him.
The determined one becomes the bad guy because he really really wants to prove himself, and to show just how "bad" he is, he kills two under-developed characters without much reason shown
I can definitely see why people are criticising this expansion, but I am still hoping that this is their way of introducing a new set of storyline. It's not bad if you think of it not as a continued adventure for the WoL but a completely new beginning, they are setting up the main characters and worlds to be explored later
I think I missed quite a bit of undertones due to my bad memory, didn't realise that the people who were struck down by the squid game forces were people we interacted with even after 大道長 mentioned it
靠著16小時雇員+軍團拉上來的第一個滿等職業(包含戰鬥職業)
順帶一提目前的戰鬥職業長這樣(?
This does NOT feel right.. the whole place with Sphene is giving me creepy AF vibes..... can we PLEASE check on Erenville's people first
I like the technology but the 30 years and the strange thing on everyone's heads and how happy they seem is just....weird AF
fussy little bunbun........
Sphene scares me... If I didn't have a good first impression of Lamaty'i because of her naivety, then Sphene is because she doesn't feel like she is truly naive... Despite how she looks, she's been in Eorzea for 30 years essentially colonising where they landed when you think about it...
Got to the actual 黃金鄉, turned off Canal Town last night and... it's such a warped version of Amaurot, I can't help but cry so much at that part... especially with Namikka and that elezen who finally proposed to his love.... they are so desparate in keeping "memories" alive but it's just so wrong...
I guess I can sort of see what the script writer is going for here, Sphene is created from the memories of a loving queen who only thinks of preserving her people, regardless of whose lifeforce she has to take. Which, when you think about it, isn't much further from what the Ascians were trying to do through rejoining the worlds
What's so wrong with the Endless for me is the fact that they are standalone memories, no one remembers them because of the regulators, so in a way, their right to be "missed" has been taken away from them, and they are "brought back" through the sacrifices of others, who would've been perfectly alive otherwise... no wonder Cahciua feels guilty
But as far as I can see from the Endless, none of them felt entitled, rather, they felt grateful for the chance to be recreated, to have another go at life so to speak. This is what is the saddest and the most "wrong" for me... taking away everyone's memories of someone, then making them live again in a place where none of their loved ones would be
At least with Amaurot, it was only a shadow created by and for Emet-Selch, who remembers everything, and just wanted to keep that memory alive as he worked through his lifetimes, blending into different personalities and characters...
Really at this point I don't even know how I feel about the plot anymore, whether it has gaping holes or not, whether the characters are fleshed out enough, but it's definitely successful at least to me. Just that place and the idea behind it is enough to make me think.
This is actually starting to feel like content for two expansions instead of one, but there's no way they would be able to drag it out long enough without getting a shitload more of cliffhanger complaints
Living Memory hurts so much I literally don't dare delve too deep into it, otherwise I am gonna cry all the way through
So far shut down Canal Town, Yesterland and the volcano place, saw Krile's parents and as expected didn't get the ref to Aloalo until 大道長 told me, no wonder the masks looked familiar
Don't know how I'm going to face shutting down Cahcuia...
