I'm old enough to remember announcers on TV and radio pronounce Philippines as FILUHPEENS when they're trying to adopt an American twang. Now they pronounce it FUHLUHPEENS. English is becoming more Pinoy, even the pasosyal varieties.

Tapos naalala ko yung English classes nung elementary. Vowels have two pronunciations daw: long and short. Tapos madidiskubre mo hindi lang pala two.
