They let me go for sick days and days I missed because Shiro was vomitting and I had to take him to the emergency vet.
Honestly I’m not too torn up about it because my manager was a monster but now I need to start looking again.
If anyone in the Dallas north area has some recs I’m open to it. I’m looking for something that pays at least $21 an hour though.
I already got an interview with a local ghost tour company that starts at $25 but would only be 3 days a week.
Oooof. I know that the city proper is hiring for a bunch of positions on their website, but not quite sure on specifics since I keep putting in a ton of new user almost daily.
And pretty sure every single one of them is at least $21 an hour at base.
Hmmmm okay! Thank you for the lead! I’ll look into it.
Ugh that sucks though. Sorry.
No problem! I wish I had anything more specific, but I'm only in touch with the water and utilities part of the city.
I'm sorry. I hope you find something with better management.
ugh I'm sorry. Hopefully you'll be able to find something better soon!
Me too. I was dreading going in to work every day for the last like 3 months.
Ugh. I'm sorry to hear it, but hoping something better comes along soon
Oh that sucks, I'm sorry. But hopefully this will lead to much better things and a job that doesn't cause dread
Oh fuck I'm so sorry but I hope this leads to better things and you land softly and swiftly
Thanks guys. I’m keeping my chin up.
Also why are there so many terrible managers out there. This is like the third in a row who’s been awful.
because there are way too many people who get a sniff of power and let it go right to their head
Seriously. If you want to make people actually enjoy working for you maybe don’t be a raging asshole?
also i wouldn't be shocked if it's some kind of trauma inflicted on us by capitalism
like they suffered so other people have to suffer like they did
I’d definitely believe that.
which is stupid, if you suffered you should make it so that no one else has to suffer... but i suppose that's just my personality
Like the last one over shared so much about her personal life in a department meeting it made everyone very uncomfortable.
Right?? If you suffered do something to lift people up instead of tearing them down. Make their job something they actually take pride in!
IT WAS SO ROUGH. I found out she was a teen mom who had her kid taken away from her. Like how tf is this relevant to our jobs.
Even her comanager (who ended up quitting because of her) was very uncomfortable and you could tell.
god that just reminds me that i had a really weird coworker who decided she hated someone else and stalked them to discover things to use against them, why can't we all just be nice
Jesus Christ. Insane coworkers is also a problem I’ve run into way too many times.
thankfully that one no longer works in my area but she wasn't fired over it, i don't know if that was reported properly though
Like I mentioned it before but one of my last ones was a real piece of work who loved shitting on younger generations and was generally really unpleasant to be around.
She also started interdepartmental fights with other employees.
I’m sorry. I hope you find something good soon!
Okay I put in 10 applications and already heard back on 2 for interviews so this is promising.
I have a lot of qualifications I just need to get my foot in the door somewhere.
