there's a complex across the street from ours that has just the loudest fireworks every year, big explosive booms every ten-twenty minutes

like so loud that they'll literally set off car alarms

and Toki always has a hard time with fireworks but for some reason this year he was just not having it

watching my dog hit full panic was really rough

we were up pretty late trying to get him to stay with us, because we want him to come to us if there's an emergency and not cower where we can't reach him under the bed or something

eventually we had to give up and just let him go... be scared somewhere because it was 1am and I needed to sleep

it's so sad he kept running away but then would immediately come sit by me when I got up to go find him

I'm sure there will be some leftover fireworks going off tonight but I hope they don't keep it up until 2am or whatever like they did last night

we're... honestly we'd call the police, fireworks are illegal within Seattle City limits

but I need to figure out the address to send them to, and it's a complex so I'm not 100% sure yet

I don't mind fireworks when they're not seismic-level explosions right outside our windows, these are just SO BAD

yeah we need an exact address to call the police
