Supreme Court issues decision on Trump immunity case...

SCOTUS has now decided the President gets immunity from prosecution for any "official acts" during the presidency, and notably they are the ones who decide what those are

(on the list already: using the DOJ as your own personal attack dog to go after political opponents)

They have seriously just decided that what we really need is a king with divine right, not a president, and we are going to be so incredibly fucked if Trump gets back in and gets the court to go even further to the right

I do not want to find out what else he's allowed to do and never be prosecuted for, and neither should anyone else with a brain

it's now up in the air whether or not he can even be prosecuted for January 6th and trying to steal the election

They really want him to be able to do anything he wants. Because you know they will use this to jail political opponents. Among so many other things

and if a fucking attempted coup gets a pass, everyone needs to think real hard about what else he can get a free pass for

especially when their plan for getting in is to reschedule a lot of the federal non-political appointees to become political ones so the President gets to staff the government with loyalists

Relying on the courts to stop him now doesn't work when the same courts have decided he can't be prosecuted for breaking the law

He will get enough yes men to do serious, serious harm if he gets back in the white house

Yes and anyone who doesn't understand that is an idiot

and there is also a very real chance two more justices will need to be appointed within the next 4 years, so. This can still get so much worse on that front alone.
