I'm ready to go into debt and pawn all my possessions to move back to San
and here I was just shooting off a message to my crew in Yosemite letting them know if they need to leave the field early some days due to the heat that they can, but their forecasted highs are like 95
which is bad enough! at 5000+ feet!
no temps should start with "eleventy" that should be illegal temperature
all my plants are gonna crisp
and I have to work while being a sweaty mess cuz the AC is trying but unless I crank it (and pay like $500 a month) it can't keep up
oh yuck
pg&e is doing their heat dome surge pricing so my bill is probably already gonna be $300 just having the thermostat at 76
my energy bill for last month was shocking so yeah i'm trying to be careful (but obviously its not as hot here so i'm not saying i'm in the same boat rn)
christ
yuck :< it's not quite that hot here. yet. but it's aiming for 113 on Friday...
this is going to sound really dumb for these temps, but i highly recommend getting a tiny desk fan if you haven't got one. sometimes the tiny breeze it creates right next to your face can make it a little less uncomfy sitting at a computer. it helped me through our last awful summer in Aus.
i only have a tower fan blowing on me. Maybe i should get a lil one just for IN YOUR FACE cooling
I added a little desk fan this year and it is nice to have a constant direct breeze on face
the heat has caused tons of ants to invade /sob
we have them downstairs, upstairs, they got the cat food but in one of our offices they seem to be going for the soil of a potted plant??? maybe the moisture?
There's ant killer goo in little syringes
i might need that around the windows. where the cats can't get it
