travel nails
just saw a guy in flannel come in so I think I'm in the clear
the tray table is broken but that's not the biggest of deals for me
upper bunk
oooh. neat! I've never actually taken a train anywhere, much less a sleeper train.
it's expensive but so fun and worth it
I did it in 2011, but didn't have a smartphone back then, so didn't really share pics
very interested to find out if the wifi is so slow because coach is packed with people streaming netflix and it'll get better when we move into less commuter-y areas, or if this is as good as it gets and we'll lose it completely when we move into less commuter-y areas
I was cowatching netflix with someone on a train and it got pretty wild we went down to like 244p
- it's not like I actually try to look at people's laptop screens, it's just that the ao3 layout is very distinctive and easy to spot even with an accidental scan as it crosses your line of sight
- an airline would not be nearly so chill about the baggie of loose, unlabeled pills in my bag (they are vitamins)
things i have learned on this trip: hot DAMN do the amish love amtrak
I mean what else you gonna do but read porn that doesn't need to be streamed on a long train right?
this next train doesn't have wifi so I'm at the mercy of the at&t cellular network
oh man...good luck friend.
I occasionally think about this ao3 conundrum while I'm reading porn on my commute but otoh it's a very 'and what were YOU doing at the devil's sacrament' situation if someone else recognises it
I fully support ao3 on public transit, you go folks, I have several fics in my chromebook rn
(also, I am banerrycorknut on insta and iddylu on polarsteps if anyone wants to be photo/travel buddies. after years of swearing that I'd never deprioritize my big camera for a smartphone, I'm finally taking more phone pictures than camera pictures, and I'm feeling conflicted about it)
check out this swanky-ass big city movie theater
I do love the new fancy theaters
