oh it was amazing!! kinda chaotic tho; the way AA is set up is that is rng EVERY DAY so there are new artists to set up every day (they take names in the discord and roll em)

i got super lucky and somehow??? won a permanent table so I had a spot all weekend

so i got to see lots of people and just hang. i gave up my table to someone else saturday afternoon so i could take a nap lol

its such a fun con tho

another friend only got a table for friday but made like 1k in just a few hours on comm slots and she was like finger guns I'M GOOD FOR THE WEEKEND

YEAH LIKE. i love anime cons for my blorbo brain, but furry cons are suuuuch a diff vibe.

and its so refreshing going to a con where ppl don't care about fanart, they actually love your art for what it is

if you ever get a chance to do FWA, highly reccomend

LEGIT, I just did Boston Fan Expo and while I still like, had a good time and all my neighbors were lovely, it's just... not nearly as chill. People always seem like they're happier and more comfortable at furry cons.

I'll definitely make it a goal to do FWA at some point! I've pretty much been limited to stuff just in the ME/NH/MA area but it would be nice to start branching out a little bit more.

but yea there's just something really good feels about seeing so many ppl come together for something overwhelmingly positive and celebrating art

but yeah ahhhhh furry cons... I'm so glad I've been able to start getting into them, a local one just popped up right near me in the past few years and I really enjoyed it even though it was small.

even one of the best artists i know who like, makes bank at every anime con they go to would rather not do it even if they manage to make profit. comic con audiences are not kind to furry/anime artists orz

Definitely feel you on it being nice to have people who are looking specifically for art styles they enjoy rather than JUST if you have their blorbo

oh yea i had some dungeon meshi charms at my table and the number of fursuiters yelling out a muffled 'CHILCHUCK!!!' was hilarious lmao

I will say I've appreciated the niche of "token furry artist at the anime/comic con" I wound up in, because INEVITABLY there will be at least one or two commissioners who are like

"OH THANK GOD YOU DRAW FURRIES... IVE BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE ;-;"

and I get to be like "YOURE SAFE NOW MY SWEET CHILD"

and rented out the whole place for a night
