What young Taiwanese Think of China in 2024 ?I'm surprised they all want to maintain the status quo.Maintain this state of being bullied, threatened, infiltrated, and manipulated? It's disgusting, and has nothing to do with peace. I really hope for change, but definitely not in the form of war.
I regularly keep up with "real" information about China, I've also been there 3 times and visited around 6 cities, I'd say I have a decent understanding of its development and the people.
In the comments section, many said that the young people in the interview don't know much about China and are too naive. One comment especially mentioned that they are afraid to express their opinions for fear of being misunderstood as political fanatics, and I couldn't agree more.
Why are so many young people sick and tired of discussing politics? I think this is a big problem in Taiwan, and the partisan struggles along with the chaotic news and media are largely to blame.
