just some pointless meta tl;dr here but in general i'm very good at separating jack-the-character from jack the irl author of the series, they're very different and he does a good job making those differences significant enough that it isn't hard

but also

jack is a fictitious-but-autobiographical version of real jack townsend who is an absolute flaming leftist, to the point that he wrote the 'tale of the spider-folk' tftgs side adventure as a satirical commentary on republicans being shitty about student loan forgiveness bc he got so fucking heated about the issue

so that's something i try and remember when i consider jack's political standing in situations like the one unfolding in thorne

i tried marinating them in beer for several hours before roasting them and they still kinda suck

maybe i should just get a real grill

to get the internal temp up to cooked and then pan frying for external texture

if i decide to ever try it again maybe that'll be my next strat
