haven't done this for june and it's weirdly keeping me from making other plurks, so!!
i've been on a bit of a beauty/aesthetic kick, i finished flawless: lessons in looks and culture from the k-beauty capitol and dress code: unlocking fashion from the new look to millennial pink
i also have wear it well which is more a "personal style how-to guide" than a collection of criticism.

both books reference perfect me by heather widdows so i have that now, too.
because instead i'm finally back to the third reich in power. i looked at my tbr pile of various histories on various aspects of the far right and i thought, why not just read about the worst thing?
this is about 1000 pages so it will likely take me a while, but if it motivates me to take a quick fiction break to read some kind of breezy novel, i welcome that actually.

it starts with a bit about "if you've read the coming of the third reich" you can skip this bit recap, and i have read the first book in the trilogy so i got to feel smug but i needed the recap anyway because that was a few years ago lol.

lmaooo i think I also read the first book but its been a long time. i always wanted to read the rest
starts out with the night of long knives, for which i do not have an appropriate plurk emoji.
okay i fell into another reading rabbit hole and finished the woman they wanted in one day.
not because it was particularly well-written but it's not that long and the subject matter is compelling to me.

so then the library app recommended the making of biblical womanhood
so i'm reading that… unfortunately live laugh love by kristin kobes du mez isn't out yet.
