Levi's dad was a drunkard who killed his mother. While Levi was just standing there, either trying to stop him or praying to a God to help (its player choice)

then his father just descended further into drinking and the state took custody of Levi

he's had no good father figures in his life so he doesn't really know what that is

he's getting a few in games but he doesnt know to call it that

Hu's dad was absent for her youth BUT she was born a fox and its normal for Kitsune to leave their kit with a normal fox (or human) and leave. One of the parents almost always dies, and in Hu's case it was her mother. I think fox dads help out, but Kitsune in the setting usually nope out because idk they cant be held down or something

he showed up after her first change and taught her stuff so he was pretty normal by kitsune standards. gave her the skull necklace she wears since its a family heirloom thing.

they didnt stay together for long cause they both needed to move around more. but she could probably count on him for help if she needed it and knew where he was/how to contact him.

its not an issue to her that she doesn't so its just a fine/normal relationship to her

um, older characters...Brian doesn't remember his parents so I never bothered figuring out things about them

Manny has a good and very close relationship with his family in general that's a big part of his character. but his father specifically isnt any more or less special/important/loved than the rest
