i don't think dorian wants to be this man because dorian could never have a skeleton companion. also his mustache is too thin for dorian. he needs to have thicker and more unjustifiable facial hair

but yeah his magic never really conveyed his necromancy in the traditional sense. he's more of a well-rounded mage than a specialized class. it'll be interesting if he is present in the game somehow as an npc, i don't think he'll probably be in any combat scenarios for there to be comparison (though that would be awesome)

Yeah I don't think they'll let you have TWO foppish necromancers in the party but it'd be remiss to not have him as an NPC... of course I have stopped having expectations I feel it is best to go into DA4 with no idea what is going on.

yeah i'm completely ignoring the discourse about it because there's no way to tell how it'll turn out until they release more info leading up to it. i'm fairly skeptical myself because of the layoffs they had but not for reasons people are saying they fumbled

since they laid off so many bioware veterans after they had their outline of the game i'm wondering if it's going to take a hit in the overall narrative and dialogue writing more than anytihng

It's clearly been through Development Hell and back. I wouldn't be surprised if it went through a massive rewrite or two, but I guess going into a new region gives a little more room for new people coming in to work even if they're catching up on the lore bible.. we shall see.

If I'm putting faith in anything it's in the developers salvaging management's terrible ideas.

Honestly Bioware could do anything to the game but if they made Varric romanceable all would be forgiven.

Varric really just a guy always in the middle of things. But yeah having him bridge the Inquisition would be nice
