My father is on medication until he can see his doctor. Getting old is bad. Why do we want to grow up?

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe we don't actually want to grow up. We are just never satisfied with present condition. This gives an opportunity for improvement but on the other hand we are hardly ever happy.
